Line-Up:
Anthony Bourray - Lead Vocals
Mike Mostert - Guitar
Rob Dexter - Bass Guitar
Mato Aghetti – DrumsAfter the recordings for „The Anthology“
BATTLE BRATT decided a new vocalist was something they needed in order
to stay in tune with the times. For that reason Jim Kane was replaced
by Anthony Bourray from Queens, New York. Anthony gave the band a
fresh new feel and had strong vocal ability with a combined package
of flowing harmonies that set the band in a new direction. Not long
after recruiting Anthony did guitar player Bill Kania decide to leave
the band and was replaced by Mike Mostert. With a new vocalist and
guitar player BATTLE BRATT dropped all the songs and started writing
new material. Within a few months all the songs that make up the 1988
debut record were written.
After shopping the demo BATTLE BRATT landed a licensing deal with
the European label US-Metal records that helped the band release its
only record. The band headed over to Europe and do a promotional tour.
Although BATTLE BRATT hails from the US, it has been said very often,
that they had a definite European sound, which is based on them being
influenced by mainly European bands.
BATTLE BRATT´s debut album was produced by David DeFeis from
VIRGIN STEELE and cotains phantastic Melodic, but still powerful Heavy-Metal
with excellent songwriting. Due to a lack of label support, BATTLE
BRATT unfortunately never got the attention they deserved back then
and split up after the release of their first and only real album.
In 1991 the CD was released in Japan on Meldac Records. Now, in April
2006 BATTLE CRY RECORDS is proud to announce the re-release of this
phantastic masterpeace.
